5. Detailed notice on the use of cookies.

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of procedures and to improve the user experience of online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site, and how to manage them.
By confirming receipt of this notice or by using our Site, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with this Cookie Policy. If you do not consent to our use of cookies, you must set your browser appropriately or refrain from using the Site itself. Disabling the cookies we use may affect your experience while on the Site.

Definitions
Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even days later (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Similar technologies, such as web beacons, clear GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and service usage.
Throughout this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply using the term "cookies".

Types of cookies
Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish several categories:
Strictly necessary cookies. These are essential cookies for the proper functioning of the site. The duration of cookies is strictly limited to the work session (they are deleted when the browser is closed).
Analysis and performance cookies. These cookies are used to collect and analyze traffic and site usage anonymously. These cookies, without identifying the user, allow, for example, detecting if the same user returns to connect at different times. They also make it possible to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. Deactivation of these cookies can be executed without any loss of functionality.
Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously or otherwise) user preferences and improve their browsing experience. The site does not use cookies of this type.

Third-party cookies
By visiting the website, you may receive cookies both from the visited site ("first-party") and from sites operated by other organizations ("third parties"). A notable example is represented by the presence of "social plugins" for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn. These are parts of the visited page generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the host site's page. The most common use of social plugins aims at sharing content on social networks.
The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by the relevant notices, to which please refer. To ensure greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various notices and cookie management methods are listed below.
Any plugins and related privacy policies:

Ilmeteo.it policy: http://www.ilmeteo.it/portale/privacy

Google Analytics
The site may also include certain components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). In this case as well, these are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies).
Google Analytics uses "cookies" to collect and analyze anonymous information on site usage behaviors (including the user's IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it to prepare reports for site operators regarding activities on the website itself. This site does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) Google's analytics tool to monitor or collect personally identifiable information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google, nor does it attempt to link an IP address with the identity of a user. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
For further information, please refer to the link provided below:
https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/
The user can selectively disable Google Analytics actions by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their browser. To disable Google Analytics, please refer to the link below:

Duration of cookies
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Other cookies "survive" the closure of the browser and are also available in subsequent user visits. These cookies are called persistent, and their duration is fixed by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases, an expiration date is set; in other cases, the duration is unlimited.
The Site does not make use of persistent cookies except possibly the technical cookie confirming the viewing of this Cookie Policy notice for a maximum duration of 6 months.
However, while browsing the pages of the site, you can interact with sites managed by third parties that can create or modify permanent and profiling cookies.

How can I control the installation of Cookies?
In addition to what is indicated in this document, the User can manage preferences regarding Cookies directly within their browser and prevent – for example – third parties from installing them. Through browser preferences, it is also possible to delete Cookies installed in the past, including the Cookie in which the consent to the installation of Cookies by this site may be saved. It is important to note that by disabling all Cookies, the functioning of this site may be compromised. The User can find information on how to manage Cookies in their browser.
It is also possible to visit the website, in English, http://www.allaboutcookies.org/ for information on how to manage/delete cookies based on the type of browser used.
In the case of services provided by third parties, the User can also exercise their right to object to tracking by inquiring through the third party's privacy policy, via the opt-out link if explicitly provided, or by contacting the third party directly.

Notes
Since the installation of Cookies and other tracking systems operated by third parties through the services used within this site cannot be technically controlled by the Controller, any specific reference to Cookies and tracking systems installed by third parties is to be considered indicative. To obtain complete information, consult the privacy policy of any third-party services listed in this document.

Given the objective complexity linked to the identification of technologies based on Cookies and their very close integration with the operation of the web, the User is invited to contact the Controller should they wish to receive any further information regarding the use of Cookies themselves and any use thereof – for example by third parties – carried out through this site.
